Surface Analysis

Reduction of energy use and environmental impact will be one of the most important drivers of the development of future production processes. Swerim has the specialist knowledge and facilities for performing surface analysis and determining the cleanliness of your product or process.

Surface analysis involves characterization of surface properties and, not least, understanding which surface properties are optimal in combination with the substrate to achieve the best performance. Analysis of the surface and its cleanliness is often the first approach to solving a problem. Our methods are appropriate in many areas, especially in conjunction with heat treatment, joining, surface coating and pre-treatment.


We analyze surfaces and products with respect to chemical substances and particles. Below are examples of what we can analyze in our laboratories and pilot facilities.
