Research and development
Research and development (R&D) projects are often conducted in international partnerships with several partners. Swerim leads and participates in a large number of projects at both the national and EU levels. Participation in a range of research projects provides great opportunities for developing business ideas and long-term competitiveness.
On an increasingly globalized market there is an ever greater need for collaboration and mobility. Collaboration allows us to develop our expertise and strengthen our networks. Participation in national projects and EU projects provides opportunities for reaching out over local, national and international boundaries and achieving results that would have otherwise been impossible to achieve.
National and EU research
National research is funded mainly by Vinnova, as well as by e.g., the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, county administrative boards and academic institutions, within the framework for various research programmes. Within the EU this collaboration is mainly via the Horizon 2020 framework programme, for which calls for proposals in various areas of research are regularly announced.
