A fossil-free society – what role can the industrial symbiosis play?
To achieve a fossil-free society requires a combination of regional, national and international efforts. Welcome to a seminar that will discuss the industrial symbiosis role on a fossil-free society.
The event will be arranged by Swerim together with Jernkontoret. The invited speeches will be given by some representatives from major industrial sectors and institutes/universities in Sweden and other European countries. At the end, there will be a workshop and an open discussion with the audience.

Swerim is corrdinating a Vinnova UDI project – OsMet, in which we are helping the metal industry to reduce CO2 emission and at the same time minimize landfill amounts generated from the Pulp&Paper industry and other industrial sectors. The project partners include KTH, SLU, RISE IVF, RISE Processum, SSAB Oxelösund, SSAB Merox, Volvo GTO, SCA Obbola, Stora Enso and Outokumpu.
