International research programmes

Swerim participates in international research, mainly in European research collaboration programs through contribution in research agendas and  road-maps . We are active  within  a number of technical platforms and are members in a number of research groups linked to Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Joint Technology Initiatives.

Through different collaboration projects and networks we can impact the orientation of EU program in which Swerim coordinates and participates in several projects. International research is an important part in monitoring trends and development and opens up possibilites for our member companies to collaborate with European industry to find solutions to different issues.

Horizon Europe
The largest research and innovation programme ever in the EU. The aim is to create world-class research, break down barriers to innovation, and facilitate collaboration between public and private sectors around innovations.

SPIRE
Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency (SPIRE) is a collaborative programme that brings together industries within sectors such as cement, ceramics, chemicals, engineering, minerals and ores, non-ferrous metals, steel, and water. The goal is to ensure and enable best practices for resource efficiency within the process industry.
