Congratulations to Erik Sandberg, Swerim, winner of the 2022 award honouring the research station's memory prize. Erik has been awarded 25,000 kronor in recognition of his longstanding experience and work within research and development projects in the field of metallurgy. His knowledge of our core areas of activity, above all, within EAF technology, is an invaluable asset for the company. He has been committed to supporting and serving our most important customers in their efforts to achieve climate-neutral steel production. In addition, Erik has shown great dedication and curiosity in developing new projects and project opportunities together with his colleagues. Erik's commitment and approach to work make him an excellent role model for researchers at Swerim.

The research station's memory prize
Metals research institute Swerim has established an award amounting to 25,000 kronor for personnel working within Swerim and associated with Swerim Luleå who have shown exemplary commitment, co-operation, curiosity and integrity, and made a significant contribution to the advancement of Swerim's position within needs-based industrial research and development concerning metals and their route from raw materials to finished products.
