Mechanical systems

Mechanical systems are found in many products that are manufactured or used in the engineering industry, for example in transmissions, engines, pumps and cylinders. Building a system using expensive and high performance components does not in itself guarantee that the system will function properly.

Optimisation of mechanical systems

The development of any kind of mechanical system includes design, analysis and optimization of the system and the selection of components. The challenge consists of using the target specification, normally drawn up at a system level, to decide which subsystems and components should be used for the product and how these can be optimally linked together. This also includes setting the requirements for components and subsystems.

How can we help you?

Component properties are normally well known for standard components. This information is usually supplied in catalogue form by suppliers of, e.g. bearings, transmissions, engines, pumps, cylinders, etc.
