The metals research institute Swerim is a leading industrial research institute within mining engineering, process metallurgy, materials, manufacturing engineering and applications. Pilot- and laboratory facilities offer testbeds and demonstrators for development and verification of production processes and optimization of material properties. Research is carried out in collaborative research projects or projects on a contract basis, financed by individual companies.
Swerim has 190 employees, where the majority of our co-workers are postgraduate research engineers and/or have longstanding experience in industry.
Role in project
- Project coordinator and responsible for dissemination, exploitation and communication.
- Development of testbed for pyrometallurgical treatment of residues with Lindes Oxyfines technique, in combination with on-line measurements of the dust carried out by CRM.
- Develop process models for evaluation of treatments steps integrated in steel production.
