Energiforsk initiates, coordinates, and conducts research and analysis in the energy sector. The organisation is politically neutral and strives for objectivity in all its work. Energiforsk is a non-profit limited company owned by the industry organisations Energiföretagen Sverige and Energigas Sverige, the state-owned transmission system operator Svenska kraftnät, and the gas and energy company Nordion Energi.
Energiforsk’s key contribution to the consortium lies in its strong connections with important stakeholders (energy companies), as well as its expertise on the role of biomass in the energy system and regulatory frameworks within the energy sector. Through these projects, Energiforsk aims to help align the future needs and opportunities of the energy and metal industries, enabling them to jointly contribute to the green transition.
