Höganäs develops, produces, markets, and sells iron and metal powders for component manufacturing, surface coating, additive manufacturing, and chemical-technological applications. Höganäs is a steel company that has made significant progress in its transition and has an extensive network within the bioenergy sector in southern Sweden.
The HåBiMet projects are important for establishing production and supply chains for biocarbon, enabling Höganäs to reach net-zero emissions in Scope 1 by 2030. At the same time, Höganäs aims to increase understanding and acceptance of biocarbon use within the iron and steel industry and to demonstrate the broader societal benefits that can be achieved.
