Hasse Fredriksson's Scholarship to Pavel Ernesto Ramirez Lopez!
The Hasse Fredriksson Scholarship for 2022 was awarded on 11 September 2024, during a seminar organised by Jernkontoret's Technical Area 24, Casting and Solidification. The scholarship was awarded to Pavel Ernesto Ramirez Lopez, Swerim. The justification reads: For his efforts to improve yield in continuous casting of steel through computer simulations of complex relationships.
“Technical Area 24 has appointed a worthy recipient in Pavel Ernesto Ramirez Lopez, who has persistently and sustainably worked to develop continuous casting processes within the steel industry”, says Christer Ryman, research manager at Jernkontoret.

The Hasse Fredriksson Scholarship is awarded annually with a sum of 25,000 SEK, aimed at stimulating the publication of sound research results in the field of metals casting and solidification in well-regarded journals. The scholarship is granted to a person who has researched and published in a field over several years. The recipient should be working at a college, university, research institute, or industrial company in the Nordic countries.
