The Lagneborg Award 2024
The 2024 Lagneborg Award, amounting to 25,000 kronor, has been awarded to Julia Brännberg Fogelström, Oscar Hessling, Johan Martinsson, and Amanda Vickerfält at Swerim for their outstanding contributions to the establishment of the Metallurgical Labs in Stockholm.
Over the past three years, they have been involved in building the Hybrit Labs partnership at Swerim with small-scale experimental equipment to support the development of hydrogen-based direct reduction and steel production. In addition to their research work, the group has also strengthened collaboration with SSAB and other new customers. Their work has resulted in a large number of conference publications, scientific articles, patents, and significant results that have supported the development of the Hybrit process.
Together, the group has worked with high scientific rigor and has great trust among both research colleagues and customers. The group is positive, helpful, and well-liked, and always easy to collaborate with
