The Research Station’s Memory Prize
Xianfeng Hu is awarded the 2025 Research Station’s Memory Prize, amounting to SEK 25,000. Xianfeng began his research career at the institute in 2014 and has, over the years, become a highly valued colleague and researcher.
During this time, he has been involved in a wide range of research projects and, together with colleagues, has developed solutions ranging from molten electrolysis of various oxide minerals (and residual materials) to battery mineral recycling.
At the institute, Xianfeng has worked in both research and pilot-scale operations. He has consistently promoted strong collaboration and, through his commitment, supported both colleagues and customers. With his curiosity, interest and drive, he has, together with his colleagues, helped to create new projects and new opportunities for the institute.
Through his way of working and his dedication, Xianfeng is an excellent role model for an employee at Swerim.

The Research Station's Memory Prize (I forskningsstationens minne) prize is awarded annually to one or more people who, through their good presentations or results, have made a very significant contribution to the advancement of Swerim's position within needs-based industrial research and development concerning metals and their route from raw materials to finished products.
