Kick off transfer

Swerim has kicked off the RFCS project TRANSFER

Swerim has officially kicked off the RFCS project TRANSFER at SWERIM in Stockholm together with our project partners. The consortium, coordinated by SWERIM, brings together Outokumpu, UGITECH, French Corrosion Institute, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, and Baker Hughes.

Transfer kick off

Over the next 42 months, TRANSFER will explore how additive manufacturing can enable more sustainable and high-performance stainless steel components for hydrogen applications. By combining expertise across the entire value chain, from feedstock production and additive manufacturing to hydrogen testing, component validation, and sustainability assessment, we aim to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-compatible materials for Europe's energy transition.

TRANSFER is co-funded by the European Union through the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS).

It was a great start, and we look forward to sharing our progress and results along the way.
