Swerim and RISE run the network Heat treatment forum. By heat treatment is meant the "secondary" heat treatment of steel parts that take place on components that are further refined through some form of machining such as forging or metal cutting. Since the products have a high added value and are late in the production chain, it is a very important part in many manufacturing chains.
The network is for those who want an exchange with others, want to know what is happening in Sweden and internationally within the area, and take part of RISE and Swerim's research on heat treatment. We currently have about 200 members from 55 companies.
